Default MS/DB is sweet now

Update has really given us some options for lead and off-hands. Golden Phoenix is viable now, and Asuran Scan-> Black Mantis Thrust-> Jungle Strike looks bitchin'. I can't get on GW right now, somebody try these and tell me how sweet they are.

EDIT: eh Jungle Strike still has 10sec recharge, so maybe not so much.

I didn't see anything that would make me want to deviate from the leads I already use in PvE (Golden Fox + Golden Fang/Wild Strike).

Golden Phoenix Strike is currently bugged so it's pretty shit at the moment.

Also like the above poster it won't change me from using unblockable leads to be honest.

I like unblockable, stance removing chain attacks. But this is nice too. Hopefully it foreshadows the sf nerf by giving sin more options to lower the riot once its nerfed.

Wait, MS/DB wasn't already sweet?

Also like everybody else above, I don't see anything that will be changing my assassin build, with the exception of maybe finding a spot for Unseen Fury.

Edit: on second thought, meh on Unseen Fury, assassins have enough unblockable for it to be completely irrelevant.

Black Mantis over Golden Fox (both 4 recharge) is pretty common for me - most stances aren't activated after you've already started hitting them - so the activation buff on that is nice.

I have issues with GPS (recharge), hence I have issues with Jungle Strike. No thanks.

With Golden Phoenix Strike
You can now run a perma physical damage build that is not too long to kill things and it seems to work on what I have tired it on. Zealous daggers are enough to keep going. Not enough damage for a good balance group with healers. But a basic group is ginzu food... sliver is still probably faster

Not to rain on your parade or anything, but GPS wasn't bad at all before the update. I used it all the time in a perma daggers build before. I even used it in place of GF/WS in order to bring one more utility skill in general pve.

It got buffed for no reason other than to make sins look at other skills.

That being said, if you have problems with GS recharge and the mob is dying too fast to get a second MS strike in, just hold off until half-health and then the MS can recharge it.

GPS is mostly RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOed up since you're stuck at 8 recharge when it's blocked.

@ shinde: BMT-Jungle-DB *eep* leaves no chance for MS, so it shouldn't

Hmm, when I checked yesterday I thought that recharge was brought down to 5. But I checked again and it's still at 8, so.. yeah I guess it's back to golden fang/wild strike.

Fox fangs should have been a pve only update.

The Golden Lotus -> Golden Phoenix strikes have a much cooler animation than the lame Golden Fox -> Wild Strike (which is cool but just a repeat of MS). I'm glad they made them even better even though it wasn't really necessary in the first place...

MS/DB chains were already one of the best damage dealing builds. Saying it's "sweet now" implies that it wasn't dealing incredible damage before the patch.

It's always been great. I was just excited that there seemed to be new options for leads and offhands. I didn't mean to imply otherwise.

Personally, I'll still be using Golden Phoenix Strike -> Death Blossom -> Moebius Strike -> DB -> MS -> etc, with Critical Agility and Critical Defenses, and the remaining three slots variable.

I dont get the hype about GPS, the update barely changes anything.

So you do +30 extra damage to adjacent foes but thats it, after GPS is used once you won't again till your current target dies. 95% of your damage will still come from Death Blossom and Asuran Scan. And the latter affects only one foe so your new GPS AoE damage is unaffected.

It's nifty and all but not "omg so good".

Black Mantis Thrust still pales in comparison to Leaping Mantis Sting and Golden Fox Strike/Sneak Attack as a Lead attack to me, in PvP and PvE respectively.

Also Loljaggedstrike.

BMT is not as good as GFS, but better than LMS imo.

Tend to be away from the main mob, Jungle's AoE becomes irrelevant
